Dr. Peter Lobb is a General Dentist at Quadra Dental Centre in Victoria
Dr. Peter Lobb graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Dentistry in 1975, earning the Alberta Dental Association Gold Medal. He began his career serving with the Canadian Forces Dental Services in Victoria, working at CFB Esquimalt and Royal Roads Military College, and even spent time abroad with the United Nations Emergency Force in the Middle East in 1978. After that, he practiced general dentistry in Victoria at the Datatech Building until 2021, and joined the team at Quadra Dental Centre in 2022.
Dr. Lobb offers a wide range of general dental care, including IV sedation, hospital dentistry, and emergency treatments. He has extensive experience helping patients with dental anxiety, developmental or health challenges, or those who need surgery under general anesthesia at Victoria General Hospital and Royal Jubilee Hospital. Since 1985, he has been a dental consultant with the Vancouver Island Cancer Centre and now serves as Head of Oral Oncology and Dentistry for BC Cancer – Vancouver Island Centre, providing care for patients undergoing radiation, chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and bisphosphonate therapy.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Lobb has been deeply involved in organized dentistry, serving on numerous boards and committees at the local, provincial, and national levels. He has held leadership roles as President of the British Columbia Dental Association, the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, and the Victoria & District Dental Society. His contributions have been recognized with several honors, including the BC Dental Association’s Honorary Member Award and fellowships with the Pierre Fauchard Academy, International College of Dentists, and American College of Dentists.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lobb enjoys spending time with his family—three children, their spouses, and seven grandchildren—all here in Victoria. When he’s not with family, he keeps busy golfing, skiing, and tending to his garden.
